Five Candidates Selected for the Next CSU President

Columbus State University has narrowed its presidential search to five candidates for campus visits beginning in March. Campus was notified this morning, Jan. 25, with a message from search committee chair John Finley (following).

A message from committee chair John Finley:

On behalf of the CSU presidential search committee, I am very pleased to announce the names of our five Presidential Candidates and the schedule for their visits.

Starting next week, the CSU community and stakeholders will have the opportunity to share in the process as the candidates interview with the various administrative leaders, faculty, staff, students and community members of CSU. A procedure for feedback will be established so that your voice is heard.

Each of the five candidates will be making campus visits over the coming weeks according to the following schedule:

MARCH 1-3:
Dr. Randy Hanna, former Chancellor, Florida College System

MARCH 3-5:
Dr. Al Romero, former Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, IL

MARCH 8-10:
Dr. Chris Markwood, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, TX

MARCH 10-12:
Dr. Carl Stockton, Provost and Senior Vice-President for Academic Affairs, University of Houston-Clear Lake, TX 

MARCH 15-17
Dr. Jose-Marie Griffiths, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Bryant University, Smithfield, RI
