The Summer Sunset Concert Series is starting off strong with a concert by country music legend and Georgia native Travis Tritt.  Callaway Gardens has partnered with Wallace Productions to add this and three other major acts to the Summer music series.

Travis Tritt, native of Marietta, GA, is dubbed one of “The Class of ‘89,” which included country music superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson; all whom dominated the charts in the early 90s.   Tritt will take the stage on Saturday, May 16, with special guest Daniel Lee.  Advance tickets are $35; $45 day of show.  Gates will open at 6:30 p.m.  Showtime is 8 p.m.

Parmalee made history when its multi-week #1 smash “Carolina” became the longest climbing single by a duo or group in the 24-year history of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart.  Parmalee was also the first multi-member Country act to garner a #1 single on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts since Florida Georgia Line.  “Carolina” was recently certified gold (for over 500,000 in sales) by the RIAA.  Their debut country album, FEELS LIKE CAROLINA, has earned critical praise from People, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsday, Billboard and more. In 2014, Parmalee earned a semi-finalist nod for the Academy of Country Music’s coveted “New Artist of the Year” award and was a 2014 Teen Choice Award nomination for “Choice Country Group.” Parmalee will take the stage on Saturday, May 30, with special guest Ricky Gunn.  Advance tickets are $25; $35 day of show.  Gates will open at 6:30 p.m.  Showtime is 8 p.m.

After more than three decades together, 38 Special continue to share their signature blast of Southern Rock. And at each and every show, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band's performance.  Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand in testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse. Most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more – Timeless hits that remain a staple at radio, immediately recognizable from the first opening chord, and paving the way to their present-day touring regimen. They will perform at Robin Lake Beach on Friday, June 26.  Advance tickets are $25; $35 day of show.  Gates will open at 6:30 p.m.  Showtime is 8 p.m.

Foghat - In the late 60s Roger Earl and Lonesome Dave Peverett toured America as members of the seminal British band Savoy Brown who were on the cutting edge of the emerging British blues-rock scene. Foghat was formed in 1971 when Roger and Dave left Savoy, wanting to give a more rock 'n roll flavor to the blues-boogie music they had been playing. They took America by storm during the 1970s. and dominated the airwaves with classic songs such as “Fool for the City,” “Slow Ride,” Night Shift', “Stone Blue,” “Third Time Lucky,” and their cover of Willie Dixon's “I Just Want to Make Love to You.”  Foghat has never stopped touring and recording because they just love to play. That is what Foghat is all about … the music!  In the last few years, the band has reached a whole new generation of fans due to their songs appearing on such popular games as Guitar Hero III, numerous movies, and TV ads, etc. As a result, the tour keeps going and the boogie continues.  Foghat will perform at Robin Lake Beach on Saturday, July 18.  Advance tickets are $25; $35 day of show.  Gates will open at 6:30 p.m.  Showtime is 8 p.m.

These acts just add to the variety of music offered at Callaway Gardens.  In addition, tickets are available to the Go Green!
