Thursday, April 30th, 2015

70 Georgia business leaders gathered at the National Infantry Museum in Columbus yesterday for the Georgia Chamber’s first Regional Power Lunch of 2015.

The event featured Georgia Chamber president and CEO Chris Clark, who in celebration of the organization’s 100th anniversary, discussed the history of Georgia’s business community’s accomplishments and priorities for the next 100 years.  He focused on three areas the Chamber will prioritize in years to come, all of which have been priorities over the Chamber’s last 100 years as well: legal reform, education and workforce development, and transportation infrastructure.   Additionally, Clark told the audience that the Chamber will continue encouraging Georgia businesses and governments to do more business with in-state companies.

Power Lunch attendees appreciated the opportunity to network with other Georgia Chamber investors and members in their community and to hear about business community’s challenges and priorities for the future.  Sponsored by Wells Fargo and Columbus CEO, the event in Columbus was the first of twelve Regional Power Lunches the Georgia Chamber will host across the state this year.  To view the full list of locations for the 2015 Regional Power Lunch Series visit www.gachamber.com/powerlunch/.
