On Tuesday November 17, StartUP Columbus held the grand opening of their new facility located at 1127 Broadway, just below CSU’s Frank Brown Hall. Thanks to a partnership with Columbus State University, StartUP was able to renovate their new space and open their doors to help entrepreneurs from our region. StartUP Director, Ben MacMinn said of the new facility, “Seeing this space come to life - especially in the middle of a pandemic - has been nothing short of extraordinary. The transformation of the space is amazing and we are glad to be able to offer entrepreneurs the bestfacility to learn and grow their ideas and businesses.”

Tabetha Getz, Columbus 2025 Executive Director noted “This facility gives us the room and resources to help current and future entrepreneurs in our community. We have a flexible facility that can help those who have existing small businesses, to those who just have an idea and need help figuring out how to get their idea into a physical business or product.”

“Thanks to a strategic partnership with CSU, we are able to open this amazing new facility for StartUP Columbus and really help move the needle on entrepreneurship in our region.” said 2025 Chair, Audrey Boone Tillman. “Successful cities have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and culture. Because of that, we made sure that it was one of our main focus points of 2025.”

In addition to the Grand Opening of the new space, StartUP has events planned all week to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week. Bo Bone, Board Chair for StartUP urged entrepreneurs to avail themselves of all the opportunities StartUP will offer. “If you’re thinking about starting a business, there’s no time like ‘now’.
