United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley virtually celebrated the end of its 2020 campaign Thursday afternoon Live on their Facebook and YouTube. They revealed their 2020 campaign total - $7,284,279. As of this release, their celebration has had nearly 400 views.

“I am overwhelmed with the outpouring of philanthropy and support,” said Gwen Ruff of Columbus Water Works, 2020 United Way Campaign Chair. “It is a privilege to be part of such an amazing community. Thank you to all the volunteers and leaders that made the campaign a success. Your investment is not just monetary but the time you contribute to make the Chattahoochee Valley a better place for all,” she added.

United Way began the campaign with a virtual kickoff event in September announcing their goal. Funds raised during the year stay right here in the Chattahoochee Valley, funding life-preserving and life-saving services only amplified during the Coronavirus. United Way celebrates the end of the campaign as an opportunity to thank the donors, volunteers, and partners.

“Our focus in 2020 was to "Respond. Recover. Reimagine. Rebuild,” said Ben Moser, President & CEO of United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. “It is a new challenge for all of us to recover and rebuild while additional waves of the virus continue to hit. We are United In This Together, and it’s the strength of our community, partners, and strategies that drive real change. We never expected our community to give so much this year. We know that people and companies struggled. Our community is strong, and they continue to give all they can so that no one in the Chattahoochee Valley must go without. We are amazed by our caring and dedicated donors who will never stop giving even during this time of crisis. We will emerge stronger from this. Our donors have proven that time and time again,” he added.
