Tuesday, April 20th, 2021

To shine a light on the importance of children’s hospitals and how donations help kids get the best care when they need it, The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional is pleased to participate in the fifth annual #ChildrensHospitalsWeek presented by Hall Booth Smith, P.C. on April 19-25. The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional is one of 170-member Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) across North America participating in the week-long initiative.

The following activities encourage support for children’s hospitals:

  • Wear a bandage. Show your support by wearing a bandage of your choice, taking a photo, and sharing it on social media with the #ChildrensHospitalsWeek hashtag.

  • Start a Facebook fundraiser. Help raise critical funds for Piedmont Columbus Regional. Visit https://cmnhospitals.org/how-to-successful-fundraiser/ to get started.

  • Send a Get Well Soon card. Donate $25 and send a special get well message to a child in the Children’s Hospital by clickinghere.

Addie Jackson, age 16, was selected to serve as the 2021 Champion representing The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional. She is treated at The Children’s Hospital for Mitochondrial Disease and has personally benefited from local donations to CMN Hospitals.

“Funding for pediatric healthcare is a critical need in our community, and donations of all sizes add up to provide critical funding for pediatric medical equipment, services, research and charitable care,” said Aline Lasseter, Executive Director of the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation.  This support helps kids live and keeps communities vibrant.”
