The Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation was recently recognized at the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals National Children's Hospital's Week Conference in the small markets category for having the highest per capita fundraising (5.5%) and the highest overall fundraising ($2.9 million), for calendar year 2021— beating out 58 of the 170 total Children's Miracle Network hospitals.

“Our Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) team continues to excel in their CMN fundraising year after year. I’m so proud that they are recognized for their commitment to raising funds for our Children’s Hospital through our CMN program,” said Aline Lasseter, Executive Director of the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation.  “Whether it’s working with our national partners, developing new local events or engaging our Miracle Families to create awareness, it’s always about the kids we treat that drives them to be successful.”

Since 1995, CMN at Piedmont Columbus Regional has raised more than $12 million, which serves children in 21 surrounding counties, including four in east Alabama. Funds raised support The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional including the pediatric emergency department, the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and all other pediatric areas of Piedmont Columbus Regional. Whether a broken arm or a chronic condition, CMN is here to support the health and wellbeing of our youngest patients.
