The Columbus State University Testing Center is now administering the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators paraprofessional test for current and future paraprofessionals who seek licensure to work in Georgia.

The test, required for anyone wanting to be a paraprofessional in a Georgia public school classroom, measures skills and knowledge in reading, writing, and math possessed by prospective and practicing paraprofessionals, and their ability to apply those when assisting in classroom instruction.

The assessment is computer-based, given by appointment, and administered at the CSU Testing Center.  Appointments are scheduled online at http://testing.columbusstate.edu/parapro

“We’re pleased to be providing this test to the paraprofessionals in our region. We are the only testing site for the Paraprofessional Assessment in this region,” said Camille A. Hassenplug, director of the Columbus State University Testing Center.
