Thirty years ago Janice Henderson became one of the first female State Farm Agents.

This month Janice is celebrating the anniversary of her business.

She describes her job as "Wonderful" and she has no plans to retire. Janice has helped numerous people in our community.  When he was 37 years old, her first husband died, she was left to raise four children.  Although it was difficult, the experience gave her the desire and the sensitivity to help other people.  Janice has sold lumber and worked in the family beer distribution business so being the first woman in typically male fields, was not
new to her. She also owned her own dress shop when she was 29.  Janice has also taken time from her very busy schedule to serve her community.  She has served as Chairman of the Board of the Phenix City Russell County Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Federated Garden Club, member of the Industrial Development Board, Board member of Phenix 2000. She is a current member of the Chamber Board of directors and is a member of the Phenix City Rotary Club.

She describes her 30th year with State Farm like this, “It has been very rewarding, I am able to help people with their needs and future goals.  It only seems like yesterday in some respect, but 30 years is a long time. I do not intend to retire anytime in the near future, as long as I can be of service to all of my clients and my company. State Farm is the largest insurance company in the USA selling Auto, Life and Banking.  I appreciate all my clients!!!"
