Synovus team members collected more than 204,000 bottles of water during the company’s Here Matters Bottled Water Drive June 6-10.  More than 40 community organizations have begun receiving bottled water shipments.

Team members at all 28 of Synovus’ locally-branded banks and all corporate departments collected bottled water, which will be distributed to communities throughout Synovus’ five-state footprint. Synovus recently launched Here Matters to focus company and team member outreach efforts on three areas of local community service: education, needs-based opportunities, and health and wellness.

Community organizations receiving bottled water include Boys and Girls Clubs, United Way, and American Red Cross organizations across the footprint; Children’s Hospital of Georgia/Camp Rainbow; Autism Pensacola; Meals on Wheels; Carolina Youth Development Center; and Ronald McDonald House. All organizations were selected by team members in Synovus’ local markets.
