GDOL to Host Kauffman Tire and Snyder-Lance in Columbus on July 27th

The Georgia Department of Labor will help Kauffman Tire and Snyder-Lance, a snack food manufacturing company, recruit in Columbus. Both recruitments will be on Wednesday, July 27, at the GDOL’s Columbus Career Center located at 700 Veteran’s Parkway.

The Kauffman Tire event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Kauffman Tire will recruit about 20 employees to work in Midland. The company is recruiting assistant managers, automotive mechanics, automotive technicians, and sales advisors. Snyder-Lance is recruiting maintenance technicians.

All Kauffman Tire applicants must be at least 17 years old. All Snyder-Lance applicants must be at least 18 years old due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.  And, while it is not required, Kauffman Tire prefers a minimum of one-year experience and Automotive Service Excellence certified.

The Snyder-Lance event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The company is recruiting about 15 maintenance  technicians to work in Columbus. While it is not required, Snyder-Lance prefers a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma, and three years of related experience.

Salaries for all openings with both companies will depend on experience and position.
