The Technology Association of Georgia, the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, announced the creation of a talent advisory group whose members act as one voice for TAG’s members involved in hiring tech talent. This group was created in response to results from focus groups and surveys. The group will work on building a tech talent pipeline and help provide a connection point for work ready individuals who are transitioning from college to work.

“It is our hope that initiatives created from group collaboration will be a starting point in helping TAG members align recruiting strategy with overall business objectives”, said LaTonya Rich, Director of Strategies and Solutions at TAG.
“I am supporting the Talent Advisory committee to keep a pulse on the technology community in Atlanta. I value the opportunity to come together with other technology and serviced based organizations discussing the challenges we face in the current marketplace”, said Matthew Marini, Recruiting Manager at Agile.

Since inception TAG’s job board initiative has led to 900 tech jobs posted by TAG Premier Members annually (http://www.techfetch.com/job/tagonline/).

The talent advisory group will provide strategic direction geared toward TAG’s job board becoming the employment resource for job seekers in Georgia and southern region. “TAG’s recruitment and talent programs are a vital and essential element for those who work and support the technical community.  As a representative of the HR industry- Advisory Committee’s such as this are key in partnering and networking with other organizations.  It also provides an effective platform to foster initiatives, ideas and ultimately to attract/retain top talent”, said Aliyah Youmans, Talent Acquisition Senior Recruiting Consultant.  With this talented group of advisory members TAG is poised to tackle tech hiring shortages focusing primarily on UX/UI, Java, Mobile (Android/IOS) and .Net technologists.
