United Way Welcomes Sallie Martin As New Board Chairman

The United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley fiscal year-end is June 30th at which time Board members and Leaders come on and those that have served for at least 3 years roll off.  Scott Ferguson, President and CEO of the United Way stated, “We rely upon a strong group of volunteer board members to guide our operations and ensure the community that their gift to the United Way is wisely invested in local programs that achieve results.”   Retiring Board of Directors that were recently recognized for their service:  Jay Alexander, Alexander Electric, Adicia Coulter, Phenix Girard Bank, Tom Bode, Pratt & Whitney, Marshelia Adams, Liberty Utilities, Wade Burford, CB&T East Alabama, Audrey Hollingsworth, Hollingsworth Group, and Gary Ledbetter from F&M Bank.
 
United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley is pleased to announce Ms. Sallie Martin as the 2016-2017 Board Chairman.  Sallie served as the 2014-2015 United Way Campaign Chairman.  As the gavel was passed to Sallie, she expressed deep appreciation for the leadership that Sheriff Heath Taylor provided during the past year as the Board Chair.

Scott further added, “When you combine the volunteer leadership with the best employee team ever, there is no stopping the power of United Way to help those in need in the Chattahoochee Valley.”
