TransFirst, a leading provider of transaction processing services and payment enabling technologies, and Raintree Systems, a specialized practice management electronic medical records/electronic health records solutions provider, have formed a strategic partnership.

Under the terms of the alliance, TransFirst will be the integrated provider of payment solutions to Raintree Systems’ healthcare clients, which include practices in specialties such as physical therapy, behavioral therapy, pediatric therapy, rheumatology, pain management, oncology, and bariatrics. Raintree Systems’ clients will have complete access to TransFirst’s comprehensive suite of electronic payment solutions, as well as TransFirst’s competitive pricing structure, dedicated program management specialists and 24/7 U.S.-based payment processing support.

“This alliance with Raintree Systems continues to cement TransFirst’s reputation in the healthcare industry as the go-to partner for payment solutions, particularly as healthcare reimbursement continues to shift more toward higher patient responsibility,” said Carl Mazzola, president of TransFirst’s Health and Public Services division. “With point-of-sale and card-on-file capabilities, our integrated solution will help Raintree Systems’ clients manage their practice more effectively and enable their patients with more payment options.”

“TransFirst’s products and services fit perfectly with our company philosophy of solving real-world problems for providers delivering care in specialized fields of medicine,” said Terrence Sims, president and chief operating officer of Raintree Systems. “TransFirst’s solutions integrated with Raintree Software Products, in a simple, elegant, and value-driven way, deliver immense value to our clients and endears them to their patients by enabling an enriched care delivery experience.”

TransFirst was acquired by TSYS in April 2016.
