Columbus Artists’ Guild Opening Night Reception and Members’ Exhibit at The Columbus Public Library July 29th–August 4th

The Columbus Artists’ Guild, an organization supporting and encouraging the visual arts in the Chattahoochee Valley since 1950, is pleased to announce their annual Members’ Exhibit for 2017.
 
The 2017 Exhibit will be held in the Columbus Public Library, 3000 Macon Road in Synovus/CB&T Meeting Rooms A + B. In addition, a special display of art created by area youth will be concurrently displayed in the Library’s Children’s Department.
 
The public is invited to the Opening Night Reception to be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, July 29th. Hors D’oeuvres will be served. During the week the exhibit will be available for viewing at the following times:

Sunday July 30: 1:30pm – 6:00pm.

Monday July 31: 4:00pm – 8:00pm. The exhibit is also available from 10:00am – 4:00pm while other meetings are taking place in the gallery.

Tuesday/Wednesday August 1+2: The exhibit is available from 10:00am-8:00pm while other meetings are taking place in the gallery.

Thursday August 3: 4:00pm – 8:00pm. The exhibit also available from 10:00am – 4:00pm while other meetings are taking place in the gallery.

Friday August 4: 10:00am – 6:00pm.
 
The Opening Night Reception and the Exhibit are free of charge, and no reservations or tickets are necessary.
 
For the exhibit, each member of the Guild can submit one piece of their artwork created during the past year. There are several categories (such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, mixed arts/various media) and thousands of dollars in prize money at stake.  Over 100 artists participate annually. New this year will be a “Young Adults Exhibit,” an opportunity allowing children 17 and under to participate in the show.
