Publix Raises $36,577.19 for Children at The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional

Publix employees recently wrapped up their 27th annual fundraising campaign, raising $36,577.19 for The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
 
More than 1,180 Publix stores in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia participated in the fundraiser benefitting 27 member hospitals. Nationally, the stores surpassed their fundraising total by more than 8 percent over 2017. On a local level, Publix #1294 on Moores Mill Road in Auburn, AL increased fundraising by 180% over last year’s campaign total. The campaign raised a record $5.6 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
 
From May 31 – June 16, Publix team members sold CMN Hospitals’ Miracle Balloon coupons at the register. The coupons cost $1, $3 and $5 and offered values of $5.50, $10 and $20 respectively on a variety of products with all donations going to The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional. The funds raised by Publix will be used to support all areas that treat children at Piedmont Columbus Regional.

This year marks Publix’s 27th year of fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  Since our partnership began in 1992, our efforts have raised over $44 million dollars.  Over the years, the contributions from generous Publix customers and associates will help fund pediatric services including education, renovation, expansion projects, life-saving research and community outreach programs.
