As part of Homecoming week, the Columbus State University Alumni Association held its 2018 Alumni Recognition Awards Program and Luncheon. Six alumni and one staff member were recognized with the following awards.

- Philip Broome, B.A. '10 & M.M. '12 - Distinguished Alumnus in Military/Public Service

- Stefan Lawrence, B.A. '09 & M.Ed. '12 - Young Alumni Award

- Thomas McKenna, B.S. '88 - Excellence in Alumni Achievement

- Johannes M. Stosch, B.M. '97 - Excellence in Alumni Achievement

- Ben Thames, B.B.A. '97 - Alumni Service Award

- Cathy Fussell, M.Ed. '90 - Alumni Service Award

- Kimberly McElveen - Faculty/Staff Appreciation Award
