The Partnership of IACT Health and Endocrine Consultants of Piedmont Columbus Regional is Accepted Into Pediatric Diabetes Consortium

IACT Health, partnered with Endocrine Consultants of Piedmont Columbus Regional, has been accepted into the Pediatric Diabetes Consortium.  The Pediatric Diabetes Consortium is a multi-center group of leading pediatric diabetes treatment centers in the United States. The long-term objective of the PDC is to improve the care of children with diabetes through sharing of best practices, collecting outcomes data in a common data repository, and collectively advocating for changes in pediatric diabetes care focused on evidence.

IACT Health and Endocrine Consultants of Piedmont Columbus Regional join an elite group of participants in the Pediatric Diabetes Consortium, including Baylor College of Medicine, Yale Pediatric Endocrinology, Vanderbilt University, and Stanford University Medical Center, to name a few.  To date, the Consortium has studied and published outcomes in over thirty studies.  
 
Dr. William Tamborlane, Professor of Pediatric Endocrinology, Yale School of Medicine, and Founder and Chair of the Pediatric Diabetes Consortium, said, “We couldn’t be more delighted to have IACT Health and Dr. Leichter’s diabetes management team part of the Pediatric Diabetes Consortium. The PDC now consists of more than 50 of the leading centers in the US who care for children, adolescents and young adults with diabetes.
