Two local Mediacom employees earned top customer service awards during a ceremony held at Mediacom’s Regional Operations Center in Valdosta.

Christina Battle, a resident of Columbus, was recognized with the ‘Employee’s Choice Award’ for her exemplary work as a customer service representative. Battle was awarded based off peer recognition and has been employed with Mediacom for three years.

Melinda Dawson, a resident of Fortson, earned the call center ‘People’s Choice Award’ for her extraordinary work in customer service support. Dawson was awarded based off customer satisfactory surveys and has been employed with Mediacom and its predecessor companies for 26 years.

Mediacom employs 4,600 people companywide. The company’s owner and senior management team personally present annual awards to employees who earn the highest performance rankings and demonstrate outstanding service.
