The Family Entertainment Center offers half price at the Play Zone every Friday in February. The FEC, located in Building 2785 on Eckel Street, includes 12 bowling lanes, an indoor playground with a rock climbing wall, an interactive game floor, a toddler area, exclusive party spaces and much more!  For information, call 706-545-4272.

The Fort Benning Golf Course will host a Women’s Golf Clinic for beginners the first Thursday of each month from 11am-noon. The cost is $20 per student. Clubs and balls are provided. To register, call 706-545-0397. The dates are Feb 7 and March 7.

It’s a Sock Hop, 50’s formal style! Join us for the annual Mother and Son Ball from 6:30 to 9:30pm February 15 at the Benning Club’s Supper Club. Imagine a 50’s era Sock Hop, with saddle oxfords, polka dots, poodle skirts and a root beer float bar! Think Grease, with a miniature Danny Zuko. Guests will enjoy dinner, dancing, entertainment and photographs. The cost is $40 per couple (that’s mother and son) and $15 for each additional child. There is no age limit. Uchee Creek will host a fishing tournament Feb 16, with pot payouts for overall winners and Big Fish winner. Participants must have a Georgia/Alabama fishing license. The entry fee is $45 per boat and $15 for the Big Fish contest. To register, call 706-545-2063.

MWR Sports will host the second race in the five-part 5K Fun Run Series February 16 at the Dog Park on Zuckerman. The Four-legged Fun Run is perfect for the whole family; its dog-friendly and stroller friendly. Each race earns participants one part of a five-medal puzzle set. The cost is $15 per race for adults and $10 for kids 5 and younger. (Mom and Dad can run with kids for free, or kids can run with parents free, no medal will be issued for participants who do not register. Courses are stroller friendly.) Join us for the Autism Speaks Resource Tool Kit Training workshop, hosted by EFMP, from 10-11am Feb 21 at ACS. This workshop provides EFMP families information and resources for those with family members diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The Employment Readiness Program offers a free Civilian Resume Class to teach you to customize your resume for the job you want Feb 21.  Participants will learn civilian resume products, including Functional, Chronological and Combination, and some of the Federal Resume. The Employment Readiness Program hosts free classes each month at neighborhood event rooms to help spouses in the areas of professional development and employment. You may attend any and all of these classes in any village. These classes include information on the job search, resume development, scholarships and education goals. Classes are 6-8pm. Nitrogen prohibits moisture from collecting inside your tires, providing a safer, more stable drive, extends the life of your tires and increases fuel efficiency. Columbus State University will offer free admission during the Fort Benning Appreciation Day basketball games between the Cougars and Lander University Feb 16. The Lady Cougars play at 1:30pm and the men play at 3:30pm at the Lumpkin Center.
