In 2018, Panda Express, the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, raised $14,301 to help children treated at The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional.

Piedmont Columbus Regional is one of only six perinatal centers in the state with a Level 3 neonatal ICU and a full-service pediatric intensive care unit.

“The generous support from the customers rounding up makes a huge impact on what we are able to provide for our smallest and most precious patients,” said Christina Clifton, Children’s Miracle Network Officer at Piedmont Columbus Regional. “The money raised will help us fund specialized equipment and supplies for neonatal and pediatric services at The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional. We could not provide the state of the art equipment and services that we do without the hard work of the Panda Express employees and the generosity of the community.”

Panda Express has a year-round program that encourages guests to join in supporting the health and education needs of underserved youth.

Panda Express guests and associates at more than 2,100 locations raised $21.5 million for CMN Hospitals in total in 2018, bringing the total contribution to 131 network hospitals to more than $59 million since 2007.

“We are so grateful for the amazing support Panda Express customers and associates extend to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of CMN Hospitals. “We are in awe of Panda’s level of commitment to supporting children’s hospitals and the miracle children in their communities. It’s partners like them that allow us to provide more hope to kids and valuable resources to our hospitals.”

The 2018 donation from Panda Express makes the company the fastest growing Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partner – both in percentage of increase and dollar increase in giving year over year.
