The Columbus Botanical Garden presents the 2019 “Get Gardening!” Symposium featuring Georgia native, James T. Farmer, III for a presentation, floral demonstration and book signing.  The acclaimed gardener, designer, cook and lifestyle expert is also a best-selling author of eight books including the Wall Street Journal’s best-selling garden book, A Time to Plant: Southern-Style Garden Living.  His most recent publication, A Place to Call Home: Timeless Southern Charm, is his first interior design book showcasing eleven homes from Sea Island to Atlanta to St. Louis. James’ books are beautifully and uniquely written and chronicle his passion for gardening, cooking, interior design and entertaining.

A frequent guest in magazines, television and radio, his natural Southern grace and warm personality light up any room. A skilled and entertaining speaker, James is truly a fresh voice for his generation.
