Muscogee County School District Pre-K and Kindergarten Enrollment Windows Opening Soon

The Muscogee County School District encourages parents preparing for early learning success to apply for the District’s Pre-K program online and register early for Kindergarten. The Pre-K application will be available online and at select locations, March 1-14, 2019. The Kindergarten registration will occur March 4-29, 2019 at each student’s assigned school or the Public Education Center.

Pre-K Application and Enrollment

Students who are four years of age on or before September 1, 2019 are eligible for Pre-K application. Online applications will open March 1 on the District’s website: http://muscogee.k12.ga.us. Parents can also access the application at the District’s Public Education Center or the following Pre-K centers:

Brewer Elementary

Davis Elementary

Dawson Elementary

Dorothy Height Elementary

Double Churches Elementary

Eagle Ridge Academy

Forrest Road Elementary

Fox Elementary

Lonnie Jackson Elementary

Mathews Elementary

Midland Academy

Rigdon Road Elementary

River Road Elementary

South Columbus Elementary

Wesley Heights Elementary

All applications submitted by March 14 will be entered into a lottery drawing with equal chances of random selection for a Pre-K seat, regardless of the application date.  Parents will then be notified, by mail, of acceptance or waiting list status by March 22.  Priority will be given to students living in the assigned school attendance zone and applications submitted during the application period. The documentation required for enrollment for selected students must be submitted April 12, 2019.

Kindergarten Registration and Enrollment

Students who are five years of age on or before September 1, 2019 are eligible for Kindergarten registration. Parents can enroll students on site at his/her students’ neighborhood school or the Public Education Center, March 4-29, 2019. To register, parents should bring:

His/her state-issued photo I.D. (e.g. Driver’s License, Passport, Military I.D.)

Two proofs of residency:

lease and/or mortgage

current utility bill

Each  student’s birth certificate

Each student’s social security card
