Boy Scouts Honor J. Edward (Ed) Sprouse Retired Partner of Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker and Ford at the Annual Distinguished Citizen Award Event

The Chattahoochee Council, Boy Scouts of America will recognize Ed Sprouse, retired Partner at Page, Scrantom,Sprouse, Tucker and Ford P.C. at its annual Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner. The event will take place Thursday, May 9th atthe Rivermill Event Center.
 
“It has become tradition that each year we honor a local leader for their contribution to our community,” explained Juan F. Osorio,Chattahoochee Council’s Scout Executive/CEO.   
 
Ed Sprouse is a Partner (retired) at Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker and Ford, P.C. and a very active member of his community. Edhas been involved in several community activities and has served on various boards including, the Columbus Museum, Inc., theMetropolitan Boys Club of Columbus, the Pastoral Institute, the Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation, Inc., the Leadership Council forthe Columbus State University College of Education and Health Professions; as well as the Board of the Columbus Rotary Club, wherehe is Past-Chairman. He has also served as Chairman of the Greater Columbus, Chamber of Commerce, St. Francis Hospital, UptownColumbus, Columbus Technical College Foundation and Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation. He currently serves on theBoard of the Historic Columbus Foundation.    
 
“In both his professional and personal life, Ed has been a positive role model for our youth and our community,” added Osorio.  “Weare proud to select him for this honor as he represents the core values of Scouting.”
 
Proceeds from the dinner go directly to the local Scouting program, a program that serves nearly 5,000 youth in 15 different counties.The Boy Scouts of America instills a strong sense of responsibility and character in today’s youth and encourages them to becomeleaders in their communities.
