St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School announces Kristin Trotter will lead the Lady Vikings Volleyball program. As head volleyball coach, Trotter will oversee the Lady Vikings Middle, JV and Varsity Volleyball Teams.

About Kristin Trotter

Kristin Trotter was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, but raised in Maryland where she started playing volleyball in 9th grade. She began playing as a setter on her freshman team and progressed throughout the years, transitioning to an outside hitter for varsity and a libero for her club teams. After high school, Trotter was accepted to Coastal Carolina University (CCU) in South Carolina where she co-founded the first-ever club volleyball team on campus and was named president of the organization from 2007-2009. Trotter graduated from CCU in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Marine Science and a minor in Biology.

During her last year in college, Trotter decided to try her hand at coaching a local club team in the area. She led the Grand Strand Juniors Volleyball Club's 15-year-olds to a national championship. Kristin coached for Grand Strand Juniors from 2012-2017 with teams aging from 14 to 17 throughout the years. While coaching for club teams, she also coached in her local school system. Through this venture, she coached two JV teams and served as assistant coach for a varsity team that earned 2nd place in the state of South Carolina.

In 2017, Trotter made the move with her husband, Tanner, to Manhattan, Kansas, due to his job with the military. Trotter was offered a position coaching a Kansas Volleyball Club, The Jets. She started with a national-level 15's team and stuck with the same team, with a few additions to the roster, as a national-level 16's team. This team had a remarkable season, winning four tournament championships, earning a 7th place finish at the regional level and finishing 17th place out of 128 teams taking home silver bracket medals at the the Show Me National Qualifier in Kansas City to round out their season.

When she's not on the volleyball court, Trotter enjoys singing, painting and playing with animals. She will join the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School family when she and her husband move to our area in early-June.

"We are excited to welcome Coach Trotter to the Viking family. She brings a lot of experience to our Lady Vikings Volleyball program," says St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School Athletic Director Corry Black. "Coach Trotter is committed to helping our student-athletes become successful - on and off the court - and will serve as an excellent leader for the students she coaches."

"I am very excited to continue my volleyball journey as head volleyball coach at St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School," Trotter said. "I'm looking forward to a great season!"
