CYS will host the annual Character Breakfast from 7:30 to 11;30am April 27 at the Benning Club in the Regimental Room. Guests will visit with their favorite superheroes, princesses and various cartoon characters.

Come dressed as your favorite character; this event is fun for all ages!  Aside from a breakfast buffet, guests will enjoy dancing, crafts and entertainment. Be sure to bring a camera!

The cost is $25 for two, and $10 for each additional guest. There are no age restriction, and all guests must have a ticket. Tickets are available March 29-April 19 at Tickets & Travel in the Commissary Mall.  

It's the annual Father and Daughter Ball, Sock Hop style May 24, from 6:30-9:30pm, at the Benning Club's Supper Club. This formal event includes dinner, dancing, entertainment, photos and more for only
$40 per father-daughter couple (and an additional $15 for each additional child.) Tickets are available weekdays at Tickets & Travel starting April 22. There are no age restrictions.

Space is limited, and we cannot reserve tickets. For more information, call 706-545-3605.

Register your child beginning May 1 for the School Age Center's Summer Camp Courage at Parent Central (705-545-2079.) Activities and field trips are weekdays from 5:30am-6:30pm for 10 weeks.

The cost is based on family income. Orientation is required.

Register your student (ages 11-17, grades 6-12) for Middle School & Teen summer camp at Parent Central. For more information, call 706-545-2079. Summer camps are 7am-noon May 24 - August 9, with structured activities from 9am-noon, followed by lunch. (MS&T members can stay on site until 6:30pm. For details, call 706-545-2079.) The cost is determined by family income. Field trips require a separate fee.

(Note: Summer camp participants do not have to be MS&T members.) Camps include:

* Boot Camp May 28-30, with optional field trip May 31 to Ilovekickboxing and the YMCA. Boot Camp includes an introduction to nutrition, modified exercise techniques, strength training and relaxation.
Participants will enjoy Zumba, Yoga and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training.)

* Science/Space Camp June 3-6 and June 9-12, with an optional field trip June 7 to the Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta. This STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) focused camp includes lessons about the universe, animals, and technology in outer space. Includes a trip to the Coca Cola Space Science Center.  

* Fishing Camp June 3-6, with an optional field trip June 7 to the Go Fish Education Center in Perry, Ga. Participants will learn the basics about equipment, safety, casting and cleaning fish. We will explore
fish biology, habitats and conservation at Russ Park and the River Walk.

* Swim Camp June 10-14 and June 17-20 at the YMCA in Columbus, with an optional field trip June 21 to Six Flags White Waters. Participants will learn water safety, first aid, CPR, floating, gliding, treading
water and more.

* Paintball Camp June 10-14, with an optional field trip June 21 to Six Flags White Waters. Participants will develop strategies with their teams and enjoy paintball competitions.

* Cosmetology Camp June 17-20, with an optional field trip to the River Town School of Beauty. Participants will enjoy learning the basics of nail care and make-up and a variety of classes on
braiding, weaving and coloring (using artificial hair). This camp culminates with a beauty show and photo shoot.

* Lights, Camera, Action June 24-27, with an optional field trip June 28 to Atlanta Movie Tours. This camp gives participants an opportunity to explore a movie set and learn about various career
opportunities, such as producing, writing, directing, filming and acting.

* DJ Camp June 24-27, with an optional field trip June 28 to Atlanta Movie Tours.  Participants will learn the history behind the art of DJing and how to manipulate software create their own music.
They will also visit a radio station in Columbus.

* Kitchen Krashers July 1-3, with an optional field trip July 5 to watch a movie in Columbus.
Participants will learn basic cooking techniques to prepare a variety of healthy dishes.

* Survival Camp July 8-11, with an optional field trip to a fire station and Uchee Creek. Participants will learn outdoor survival skills at Uchee Creek and Russ Park, participate in an activity at
Bryant Wells Pool, and take a guided tour with a professional forester.

* Arts & Crafts Camp July 8-11, with an optional field trip July 12 to the High Museum in Atlanta.  Participants will enjoy painting, drawing, mixing chemicals, making lip gloss and more.

* Sports & Fitness Camp July 15-18, with an optional field trip July 19 to Six Flags. Participants will enjoy a variety of exercises and team sports.

* Technology Camp July 15-18, with an optional field trip July 14 to Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile. Participants will learn to code a mobile app and learn about the IPhone.

* Reality Check: Money Matters is July 22-25, with an optional field trip July 26 to Six Flags. Participants will learn the basics of money management, goal setting and investing.

* Construction Camp July 22-25, with an optional field trip July 26 to Six Flags. Participants will work together on a variety of construction challenges using STEM skills.

* Adventure Camp July 29-August 1. This camp is packed with adventure, including rock climbing, biking, and more
