IACT Health has partnered with the Buford Family Practice Center in Buford, GA to conduct clinical trial research.  The newly named Buford Family Practice Research was established in 2006 and is a full-service patient care facility specializing in family practice that includes pediatric and adolescent medicine, minor emergencies/urgent care, immigration physical exams, and drug screening. Included in the partnership is the existing Gwinnett Research Institute where studies have been conducted in obesity, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, headaches, depression, anxiety, Alzheimer’s, ADHD/ADD, and asthma. IACT is excited to be partnering with Dr. Alex Osowa to conduct clinical trials in all areas of family medicine.

"Dr. Osowa has built a wonderful research site along with two huge family medicine and urgent care facilities. I’m thrilled to add Dr. Osowa and his research to the IACT Health family. Combined, we will rapidly quadruple the size of his research practice in this region,” said Dr. Jeffrey Kingsley, CEO of IACT Health.

Dr. Alex Osowa stated that “Gwinnett Research Institute is very excited about joining forces with IACT Health in the area of multi-therapeutic clinical research! Our mission has always been to improve healthcare in our community by providing our patients with compassionate and excellent care through access to new and improved treatments. With help from IACT, we hope to broaden our horizons and offer the highest quality of care by conducting clinical trials that will improve patient lives.”
