Tuesday, June 11th, 2019

Twenty-nine Miss Georgia contestants will tour The Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus and make crafts for the pediatric patients on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

As part of their activities for the pageant, the contestants will learn about the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at Piedmont Columbus Regional and how they can become involved with CMN at the local level. The Children’s Miracle Network raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals throughout the United States and Canada that provide 32 million treatments each year. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.

“Piedmont’s promise is to make a positive difference in every life we touch and by learning how they can become involved in the Children’s Miracle Network, these contestants are helping us to live that promise,” said Jessie Brown, Children’s Miracle Network officer at Piedmont Columbus Regional. “We also hope that their presence here can brighten the days of the children and their families and bring more attention to the great work that CMN does.”

Children’s Miracle Network is the official national platform of the Miss America Organization. The Miss America Organization and Children’s Miracle Network share a commitment to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across the country.
