Columbus State University Selects Jeffery Davis as Vice President of Business and Finance

Columbus State University announces the selection of Jeffery L. Davis as Vice President of Business and Finance, effective September 1. Davis most recently served as the Vice President for Finance and Administration for Georgia Highlands College in Rome, Georgia.

“I am excited to have an experienced business and finance officer with public higher education experience and private sector tenure join our leadership team,” said CSU President Chris Markwood. “Jeffery also brings expertise in financial planning and management, and we look forward to his leadership and guidance in our business office and across our university.”

Before his position at Georgia Highlands College, Davis worked as the Associate Vice President for Facilities & Auxiliary Services for the University of North Georgia and as the Senior Manager of Consulting & Account Management for Radiant Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from The University of Tennessee, and a Master of Science in Management degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Davis succeeds Dr. Tom Helton, who recently retired after serving Columbus State University in this capacity for the last 12 years.
