CSU Improves by 25 Points in 2020 US News Rankings

Columbus State University moved up 25 spots to Number 75 in the latest undergraduate ranking of Regional Universities South. Among public universities, CSU has risen 12 spots to be ranked Number 30. CSU is ranked Number 62 in Social Mobility (colleges advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students awarded with Pell Grants).
 
CSU had been making improvements in the ranks in all categories each year. These steady improvements have contributed to the rise in rankings. In the last three years, CSU’s Peer Assessment rank has moved up 33 spots to No. 40, and the Faculty Resources Rank has moved up 36 spots to Number 43. Additionally in three years, CSU’s average six year graduation rate increased to 38 percent, up 7 percentage points; and the percent of classes under 20 also increased to 52 percent, up 5 percentage points. For the last two years, more than 50 percent of CSU’s classes are smaller than 20 students.
