New Horizons Behavioral Health Announces New Clinical Director

New Horizons Behavioral Health, the area’s leading provider of mental illness, developmental disabilities and addictive disease services is pleased to welcome Denise Wade McLeod, LPC, LMFT, MAC, CAC II, CPCS to our leadership team as Clinical Director effective November 15,  2019.

Ms. Wade McCleod joined New Horizons Behavioral Health in July 2010 as a member of the Comprehensive Substance Abuse Treatment Services (CATS) Program. Previously she was a team member of the Chaplain Family Life Training Center at Ft. Benning.  In October 2011, Ms. Wade McCleod became the Midtown Recovery Program Manager and in 2015 she became the Adult Treatment Services Coordinator responsible for the overall supervision and success of 10 plus programs at New Horizons Behavioral Health.

As Clinical Director, Ms. Wade McCleod will be responsible for clinical and process oversight of all New Horizons programs. Additionally, she will be instrumental in the development of  consulting and educational services provided by the Agency.

New Horizons serves over 8,000 individuals each year throughout the southern region of Georgia.  Ms. Wade McCleod will manage an eight county area of Southwest Georgia to include Muscogee, Harris, Chattahoochee, Clay, Quitman, Randolph, Stewart and Talbot Counties.

Denise Wade McCleod received her undergraduate degree in Communications from Columbus State University in 2003; her Masters’ in Public Administration from Columbus State University in 2005; and her Masters’ in Education from Columbus State University in 2009.  She completed her Counselor Internship with the Muscogee County School District during the 2008-2009 school year.

Ms. Wade McCleod is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Georgia.  She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Addiction Counselor I (CAC I), a Certified HIV EIS Counselor and holds a Georgia Educator Certificate (School Counseling, P-12).
