United Way will celebrate 2-1-1 Day on Tuesday, February 11th.

2-1-1 is an information and referral line that can be reached by call or text. 2-1-1 directs users to resources for utility assistance, tax preparation, domestic violence, housing, shelter, healthcare, and more. The service is free, available 24/7, including holidays, and you will speak to a live Specialist.

Since its inception in 2014, 2-1-1 has answered almost 34,000 phone calls and given over 100,000 referrals. The texting service has responded to nearly 2,500 text messages since the service became available in July 2017.

2-1-1 aids in the navigation of more than 2,000 types of services with over 300 agencies in the area, connecting our community members with resources that are needed. The top requested services are utility assistance, housing assistance, and food assistance. This is an increase in requests to meet basic needs from previous years.
