Wednesday, April 8th, 2020

St. Francis-Emory Healthcare launched a Team Member Support Group. The team member support group meets daily online from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. St. Francis employees can participate in the live stream group via their computer or mobile device. All sessions are recorded so employees can watch at their convenience if unable to participate in the live session. Also, questions and answers, tip sheets, and coping strategies will be uploaded weekly. The Bradley Center, a department of St. Francis, is heading up this Team Member Support Group.

“It’s so important that we support our frontline caregivers, especially during this time. We call these people heroes, and they are, but even heroes need a safe place to process all of the overwhelming emotions that they are experiencing,” says CEO Melody Trimble. “The Bradley Center took on this task and came up with a way to support our entire team. This is just one more way our team is making Today Full of Possibilities.”

"This opportunity is all about caring for the caregiver. The work that these individuals are doing is absolutely unprecedented,” says Brittany Luther-Jones, Executive Director of The Bradley Center. “Caring for our mental health is more important than ever to our overall well-being. Giving people space through technology to feel connected and to know they are not alone in their experiences is incredibly therapeutic. It's a great feeling to know we are Making Communities Healthier and each other.”
