CSU is proud to announce the selection of Alexander Yeu as the recipient of the Faculty Cup, the highest award presented to a graduating student. The award is presented annually to a student who signifies superior academic achievement, participation in university organizations, leadership, service to others, and potential for future achievement. The Scholastic Honors Committee selects the recipient, based on nominations by the university faculty.

Yeu is a member of the Spring 2020 graduating class of CSU, majoring in Biology. He previously served as a specialist in the Army, and as a Senior Cadet in CSU’s ROTC. Yeu will be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant this month.

In addition to his military leadership achievements, Yeu completed CSU’s Competitive Premedical Student Program, and researched contemporary health issues while studying abroad in Costa Rica and the Bahamas. He also tutored in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and volunteered in various community activities including serving as a STEM Summer Camp intern and Emergency Trauma Center volunteer at Piedmont/Columbus Regional Hospital.
