Graduating high schools seniors could qualify for a summer scholarship at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.  The scholarship is directed to high school students who graduated during the 2019-2020 academic year or will graduate sometime in that academic year. The GPA requirement for this scholarship is 2.0 cumulative on 4.0 scale, and students must complete the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with CVCC's federal school code 012182.

Students must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours. This scholarship covers 50% of all in-state general fees and tuition, but it does not cover the cost of textbooks or supplies.  The scholarship cannot be combined with any other CVCC Institutional Scholarship, and current scholarship recipients need not apply.  The deadline for applications is May 15, 2020.

“This financial support can allow students to focus on their studies and help ease the stress caused by issues created by COVID-19,” said Dr. Tim Harrison, Dean of Students and College Services.  “We are here to help our students reach their educational goals, so that means addressing barriers along the way.”
