IACT Health Expanding Clinical Research in Virginia

IACT Health has partnered with Virginia Gastroenterology Institute (VGI) in Suffolk, Virginia to conduct clinical trial research in gastroenterology.  Established in 2015, VGI provides comprehensive care as gastrointestinal and liver specialists throughout the Hampton Road’s area including Suffolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and the Peninsula areas of the Tidewater region.  Dr. Pramod Malik was the first Certified Principal Investigator in Hampton Roads and in 2008, was one of the first in the U.S. to be certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).  He has conducted clinical trials in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastroparesis, bleeding peptic ulcer, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
