Parents and Caregivers Report a Reduction in Anxiety and Distress in Young Cancer Patients Using the My Special Aflac Duck

In a clinical trial led by researchers at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine parents and caregivers report a reduction in distress and anxiety among young children undergoing cancer treatment after playing with a robotic duck known as the My Special Aflac Duck®. Investigators shared preliminary findings of the research during a presentation at the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (ASPHO) annual meeting in Seattle April 5.
