After the COVID-19 pandemic, Piedmont Columbus Regional Healthcare began to formulate ideas in pursuit of providing extra space and care to their patients. Now several years later, they plan to present the public with what started as a mere blueprint and has quickly become a reality.

“When you walk into a children’s hospital, it should have that ‘wow’ factor that brings a comfort to not only the child, but to the parents as well,” said Cary Burcham, Chief Nursing Officer at Piedmont Columbus Regional - Midtown. “Children need their own space, and we began seriously planning several years ago to embark on a new children’s facility – and here we are today.”
