Pellicano Construction recently opened its fourth office location in Macon on June 2nd and celebrated with a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony with the Macon Chamber of Commerce on June 18th.
Pellicano is a regional company, with headquarters in Albany, Georgia. In addition to the recently opened Macon office, Pellicano also has offices in Atlanta and San Antonio, Texas. “Pellicano’s prime objective is to provide construction management, program management, and small projects/facility management to their clients, which has resulted in over 75% repeat or referred client business,” says Roxanne Paul, Director of Marketing.
Currently, Pellicano is managing projects across the Southeastern and Midwestern United States to a broad base of clients in the retail, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, corporate commercial, restaurant, entertainment, automotive, assisted living, and faith-based market segments.
The company was established in 1976 by Patrick A. “Tony” Pellicano in Albany, Georgia, and their first two projects were the renovation of the old Dougherty County Jail for $50,000 and the construction of the Welcome Center at the Georgia Veterans State Park for $300,000. For the next ten years, the company focused on the public sector and hard bid general contracting services. The 1980’s & 90’s also marked the diversification into multiple market segments negotiating contracts with private commercial clients in the corporate commercial, retail, religious, and industrial industries.
“We have built our reputation on the foundation of being a trusted partner that is respected for its collaborative team approach and consistently provide our clients with creative solutions while focusing on integrity and a commitment to excellence,” says President Tony Pellicano.
Pellicano’s client list includes companies such as Southern Bell, SunTrust Bank, Regions Bank, Synovus, Miller Coors Brewery, Merck, Proctor and Gamble, Grainger and Cooper Tire. In 1990, Pellicano was hired as the Construction Manager for the new $25 million dollar Dougherty County Jail in Albany, Georgia coming full circle from the humble start of renovating the original jail. The turn of the century marked another milestone for Pellicano Construction with the construction of the $10 million dollar Miller-Murphy-Howard Convention Center. That same year, they hired Stephen Dew, Executive Vice President/COO, to manage all operations.
“Being a part of the collaborative team during the entire development and construction process, while creating value through relationships, has been the cornerstone of our reputation,” says Pellicano, “and our ownership and senior executives are actively involved in all aspects of the project, allowing each client to leverage the capabilities of Pellicano’s knowledge and expertise.”
Since their milestone-laden year in 2000, the company has expanded into the healthcare, restaurant, entertainment, assisted living, automotive and hospitality markets. Today, Pellicano is licensed and/or authorized to work in 21 states and offers complete construction management services.
“We are excited about what the future holds for Pellicano Construction and our clients, both existing and new, and we strive to be the most customer-centric company in the industry, where every project reflects integrity, innovation and hard work,” says Stephen Dew, EVP/COO.
