Georgia Cyber Academy to Graduate Largest Class in School History

Georgia Cyber Academy, an accredited, full-time, online public charter school, will graduate its largest class in school history, with just under 500 students in the Class of 2015. A graduation ceremony is planned for noon on Saturday, May 30, at the Gwinnett Center. GCA will be holding an Honors ceremony and prom the day before graduation at the same venue.
The Georgia Cyber Academy class of 2015 earned a combined total of more than $1.2 million in college scholarships, and earned over 1,300 college credits through dual enrollment, saving over $700,000 additional dollars in college tuition. One member of the GCA Class of 2015 is also graduating with an Associate's Degree in Music from Georgia Perimeter College, earned through GCA's Dual Enrollment program. Graduates are expected to attend some of the most prestigious institutions in the state and the country, including the University of Georgia, University of Southern California, Brigham Young University, Colorado College, Morehouse College, and Spelman College.
Senator David Shafer, President Pro Tem of the Georgia State Senate, will serve as the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony. Josh Baker, Valedictorian for Class of 2015, will also speak to this year's graduating class.

"These are incredible and inspiring students and we've been privileged to be a part of their education."
The first virtual charter school in Georgia history and currently the largest public school in Georgia, GCA is open to all students who reside in Georgiaand serves students from all 159 counties across the state.
