Twelfth Annual Career Expo Scheduled for Sept. 30th in Columbus

The Urban League of Greater Columbus and the Georgia Department of Labor will co-sponsor the 12th Annual Career Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 30, in Columbus. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Convention and Trade Center located at 801 Front Ave. in the city’s historic Iron Works district.

The expo will feature more than 50 employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Some employers will be hiring for a wide variety of jobs, while others will discuss future employment opportunities. Some organizations will provide educational and other resources.

Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available jobs. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
