Celebrating Columbus’ Culinary Scene, July 25th - 30th
Thursday, July 21st, 2016
U.S. Foods is proud to present the first ever, Columbus GA Restaurant Week July 25 – 30, benefiting Georgia Organics. Restaurant Week gives foodies the chance to try pre-fixe menus from more than 20 locally owned and operated restaurants. The week is aimed at increasing awareness of Columbus’ ever-growing culinary scene by highlighting the unique dinning options available here.
“It’s an opportunity to get out and try a new restaurant that you've been eyeing but haven't had the chance to check it out,” said Katie Bishop, Co-Founder Yalla Public Relations. “With a vast array of restaurants to choose from, you could find your new favorite eatery.”
During the inaugural event, diners will have the opportunity to indulge in delectable delights – without having to travel out of town for such flavorsome fare as true epicurean once did. Participating restaurants will offer, pre-set menus at set prices. Each menu will include an appetizer, entree and dessert options with pricing ranging from $15 - $30 (not including tax, tips or drinks.)
“Being that is at an affordable price point, it gives people a chance to get out and try new restaurants. For some of these restaurants, $30 would only cover an entree by itself but for this week $30 covers a three-course meal with appetizer, entree and dessert,” noted Bishop.
Menus will be located online (VisitColumbusGA.com/restaurant-week), where guests can view and choose which menu sounds most appealing. Columbus’ local hotspots will be showcasing some of their best dishes and sharing their culinary creativity with hungry guests. Diners should call the restaurant ahead of time to inquire about reservations, as there are no tickets for this event, and restaurants are sure to fill up very quickly.
Currently, Trevioli Artisan Pasta Company, Buckhead Bar and Grill, Cerrone's Brick Oven Pizzeria!, Epic Restaurant, Wicked Hen, 11th and Bay Southern Table, The Loft Columbus Mabella's Italian Steakhouse Ben's Chophouse Mark's City Grill, Hunter's Pub and Steakhouse, The Black Cow, Wasabi Sushi and Thai, Houlihans Downtown Columbus and Meritage – with more expected to join.
Columbus GA Restaurant week is proud to donate a portion of its proceeds to Georgia Organics, a non-profit who is growing a resilient food future that builds farmer prosperity, public health, community engagement, and environment renewal. In 2016, Georgia Organics launched Georgia Food Oasis in Columbus as an activation campaign to make it easier for residents to eat, cook and grow local, fresh and – when possible – organically grown food. The campaign engages residents to design a food future that improves good food access and public health.
Restaurant Week is the time for foodies and non-foodies alike to dine, explore and enjoy eateries from casual cuisine to five-star fare in the Columbus area.
