Columbus Technical College Job Fair to Connect Students, Job-Seekers to Employers
Staff Report From Columbus CEO
Friday, April 7th, 2017
This Wednesday, April 12 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Columbus Technical College’s Patrick Hall will set the stage for a job fair where about 24 employers that are “now hiring” will have the opportunity to meet potential employees face-to-face.
This is a chance for Columbus Technical College students, as well as members of the general public, to mix and mingle with some of the best companies in the area from fields like healthcare, business, IT, insurance, and more. There will also be representatives from the armed services and other colleges for those who may want to apply or see about transferring credits and/or continuing their education.
“Having our industry and educational partners come on campus for this event is a huge opportunity for them, our students, and the general public,” said Career Services Coordinator Elaine Chester. “The mission of Columbus Technical College is to prepare its students for the workforce. What better way to do this than by giving them the chance to ‘sell themselves’ to employers that are hiring and possibly get a jump start on their future?”
Attendees are encouraged to be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. This means having an up-to-date resume’ in hand and being dressed appropriately. For questions or interview opportunities, please contact Elaine Chester, Career Services Coordinator at [email protected] or call 706-649-1055.
