Columbus 2025 Hires New Executive Director

After a vigorous selection process, the Columbus 2025 Implementation Committee has named Tabetha Getz as the new Executive Director.
“With Tabetha’s knowledge of this community and experience working in Gainesville, she is a win-win for this organization. We look forward to her leadership and experience to help drive this initiative,” said Billy Blanchard, chair of Columbus 2025.
Prior to being named the Executive Director of Columbus 2025, Tabetha most recently worked with the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce where she served as Vice President of Membership leading the business development strategy to increase the visibility and success of Chamber members and the local business community. Also while in Gainesville, Florida she served as Director of Innovation Gainesville, directing economic development efforts in attracting and retaining companies to grow jobs in the software/IT industry.
Tabetha previously served as the Senior Vice President of Membership and Small Business at the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce where she was responsible for membership engagement for the 1200 member organization and business startup development for the Columbus region.
Tabetha earned her Masters of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from Troy University and is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Communication.
Tabetha is originally from Pine Mountain, Georgia and lives in Columbus with her husband Bruce and children Edie and Bruce III.
