Columbus Technical College will soon be under the leadership of the Technical College System of Georgia’s Deputy Commissioner of Adult and Technical Education, Martha Ann Todd.  TCSG Commissioner Matt Arthur named Todd interim president effective July 1, 2019.  The message was delivered to the College’s senior leadership team, its Local Board, Foundation Board of Trustees, faculty, and staff this afternoon. Todd has more than 40 years’ experience in education and has served the State of Georgia in several capacities including the Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, Associate Superintendent of Teacher and Leader Effectiveness at the Georgia Department of Education, and Assistant Superintendent of Meriwether County Schools.

Of her appointment, Todd said, “I am honored to have this opportunity to serve the Columbus Technical College communities, and I am looking forward to hearing from the businesses and industries in the area about how Columbus Tech can best meet the workforce needs.”

Martha Ann Todd is an alumna of Columbus State, Emory, and Georgia College & State Universities.

Columbus Technical College President Lorette Hoover announced her retirement earlier this year.  It will be effective on June 30, 2019.  She served as president of the college since 2013.
