Piedmont Columbus Regional unveiled the newly renovated TSYS Radiation Oncology Center at the John B. Amos Cancer Center today – named in recognition of a $1 million gift from TSYS, a Global Payments company– who made the gift in support of the renovation of this specialized area designed for oncology patients undergoing radiation as a part of their cancer treatment.
“High-quality healthcare delivered by people you know in a first-class facility should be the expectation of every member of our community. Global Payments and TSYS are 100 percent committed to doing everything we can to help make the Chattahoochee Valley a place where people want to live and work,” said M. Troy Woods, Chairman of the Board of Global Payments. “We are proud to put our name on this premier cancer treatment center.”
With more than 100,000 patient visits each year, the TSYS Radiation Oncology Center is an integral part of the John B. Amos Cancer Center’s comprehensive approach to cancer treatment in our community. This gift illustrates the TSYS and Global Payments’ team commitment to and investment in crafting a better tomorrow for each patient that walks through the doors of the John B. Amos Cancer Center.
“We are so appreciative of TSYS’s commitment to transforming healthcare in our community,” said Sydney Foshee, Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation Development Officer. “Locations like the TSYS Radiation Oncology Center demonstrate the incredible impact that philanthropy can have on the lives of our patients each and every day.”
