Personal finance outlet WalletHub released a study titled “2022’s States with the Best and Worst Taxpayer ROI,” ranking taxpayer return on investment based on the quality of services state residents received compared to their total state and local taxes. Georgia was recognized as one of the top five for "Best State for Taxpayer Return On Investment" and the state with the second best Roads and Bridges.

Port of Savannah Marks Milestone: Harbor Deepening Complete

GDOL Announces Highest Number of Georgians Ever Employed

Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark Butler announced today that Georgia registered a new all-time high number of employed Georgians of 5,068,389, up 21,102 in February. The labor force also recorded an all-time high of 5,234,620, up 18,994 over the month, while job numbers continued to rise 24,700 from January to February, to 4,724,400, another all-time high for the state.

Delta Asks Biden Administration to End COVID-Era Travel Restrictions

Delta CEO Ed Bastian and other airline CEOs sent a letter to President Joe Biden on Wednesday urging the elimination of COVID-era transportation mandates, such as the federal mask requirement on airplanes and in airports.. The CEOs are also asking the White House to remove the international pre-departure testing requirement for U.S. inbound customers.

St. Mary’s Marks 2nd Anniversary of Start of COVID-19 Pandemic

St. Mary’s Health Care System observed the second anniversary of the start of the COVID-19 pandemic on March 11 by planting a combined total of more than 2,700 white flags on the lawns of its hospitals in Athens, Lavonia and Greensboro.
