Now Available for Georgia Economic Development Partners: Access to More Accurate, Up-to-Date Property Listings
Tuesday, May 24th, 2022
Georgia is always looking to expand resources for local economic development groups, and that means making sure business prospects and site selectors have access to reliable, updated information on available commercial properties.
In true Georgia collaborative fashion, the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) and its utility partners have joined together to make their online property listings more accurate, reliable, and up-to-date.
The state has partnered with Georgia EMC, Georgia Power, and Electric Cities of Georgia to contract with third-party solution REsimplifi, which provides data about commercial buildings available for sale or rent in Georgia. Individual online property databases for each of the four entities will now be updated automatically with information from REsimplifi’s data source.
Benefits of using REsimplifi as the data provider for property databases include:
- Improved quality and quantity of property data.
- Data that is more up to date and accurate.
- Higher coverage of available listings.
- More consistent information on the different statewide databases.
This new partnership will also make it much easier for Georgia’s local economic development organizations to have their available commercial buildings seen by brokers and prospective businesses.
Contract Directly with REsimplify: Organizations can contract with the company directly to populate their local websites with data from REsimplifi, regardless of the property data platform they are currently using.
Same Familiar Database: Anyone looking for available properties in Georgia will access the statewide property listings the same way they have before. For example, GDEcD’s database is still located at Georgia.org/Site-Selector.
Central Submission Link, Auto-upload: The GDEcD Site Selector website has a link to the central submission webpage where anyone may submit a property listing to REsimplifi. Each of the partner databases have additional vetting criteria for new submissions. Properties entered there will also flow to all local Georgia organizations that are contracting with REsimplifi.
Fast, Accurate Information for Site Selectors: Economic development happens on the local level, and GDEcD is excited about this new collaboration that will put more accurate information into the hands of economic developers and their prospective clients.
