Uptown Columbus Inc. and the Uptown Columbus Business Improvement District announced today the appointment of Steve Morse as President and Chief Executive Officer for both organizations. The collaboration aims to enhance Uptown as a premier destination for living, working, shopping, dining, and recreation.

Morse brings over 30 years of experience in event planning, facility operations, and public space management. His extensive background uniquely positions him to guide Uptown Columbus and the Business Improvement District (BID) into its next phase of growth and innovation.

He is recognized for his strategic vision and practical approach, having played a key role in developing several iconic regional spaces. His career began with the Columbus Civic Center and South Commons Sports Complex, where he managed operations for a multi-venue campus, including a baseball stadium, and football stadium.

In 2001, Morse joined the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts as Operations Director during its final construction year. He was essential to the RiverCenter's grand opening and its ongoing success as a cultural cornerstone in Columbus.

Currently, Morse serves as Assistant Vice President of University Operations and Chief Facilities Officer at Columbus State University, leading the institution's largest division, which includes key departments such as Campus Planning, Facilities, Transportation, and Event Services.

Throughout his career, Morse has demonstrated a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and community service. His deep roots in Columbus and proven ability to manage large-scale operations make him an ideal leader for Uptown Columbus and the BID.
