Jim 'N Nick’s Community Bar-B-Q (JNN), known for award-winning barbecue, Southern hospitality and supporting the communities it serves, celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Columbus yesterday at 5710 Whittlesey Blvd. Columbus public officials, including Mayor Skip Henderson, Columbus Chamber of Commerce’s President and CEO, Jansen Tidmore, East Alabama Chamber of Commerce’s President and CEO, Melissa Gaunt, and Giving Kitchen Trustee Emeriti, Katie Bishop, gathered to celebrate the new restaurant.

The new Columbus location features a quick-casual+ dining style, allowing for fast customer service while providing the same award-winning barbecue, hospitality and community-oriented atmosphere that have been cornerstones of the brand for decades.

“We’re excited to become a part of the Columbus community,” said Tye Tyler, local owner of Jim ‘N Nick’s. “The warm welcome we’ve received has been wonderful, and we look forward to sharing our signature barbecue with all of our new neighbors.”

To further celebrate the new location and serve as a strong community advocate, Jim ‘N Nick’s Columbus partnered with Giving Kitchen to raise $2,500 for the organization at its recent family and friends’ weekend.

“We sincerely appreciate the generous support from the Jim ‘N Nick’s team,” said Katie Bishop, Giving Kitchen Trustee Emeriti. “Their dedication to giving back is a powerful reflection of their mission to support those in need.”

The brand plans to open several additional locations over the next 12 months. Jim ‘N Nick’s is eager to bring new team members on board to continue its mission of treating customers like family.
